Early Maturity and High Fertility

With the expanding competition from the ethanol business for corn and other feed grains, the cost of grain is high and may get higher. In order to keep meat at an affordable price for the consumer, which is the industry's customers, we as producers need a highly efficient animal. The crossbred calves out of the Irish Black bulls will consistently convert feed at a 5 to 1 ratio and have a very high daily gain. The calves out of Irish Black bulls will finish at 13 to 14 months of age. When you consider that the rest of the calves in beef industry finish at 18 to 21 months of age, the savings realized by using our bulls is monumental, factoring the feed savings along with the high cut out value of the calves sired, our bulls will be in great demand and the demand will get greater yet in the future.
